Liberal MP John McCallum said it best: ''It's a $62-billion Conservative lie. I used to be chief economist for the Royal Bank, and I've never seen such a shoddy, inaccurate, let alone dishonest, document."
The Tories have reduced the treasury to bollocks after only 18 months in power. It was under Flaherty's watch that the ON government was saddled with a hidden $6 billion deficit.
This message is so painfully exaggerated and hypocritical that the Conservatives are actually starting to look desperate. Oh well - election or not, it's never to early for that.

'The Tories have reduced the treasury to bollocks after only 18 months in power.' I will once again point out this is not necessarily a bad thing, although I would have rather they spent the money elsewhere. But as long as we are not in deficit, I will keep saying the same thing, spending is better for our economy than hoarding.
That being said, I agree with the rest of the blog saying they have spouted off a bit on Dion and these numbers seem to have come out of thin air.
Irresponsible and desperate=Yes
Fiscally irresponsible= Premature to say.

I wouldn't advocate hoarding either - and Dion was advocating spending the cash on our crumbling infrastructure instead.
With the Harris-Flaherty record of hidden deficits, not to mention this hunk of mathematical hyperbole they're pawning off as a "Liberal spending estimate" I don't see any reason to believe that the Federal treasury is sound.
